Hello, and welcome

Hi, my name is Cameron O'Brien, I am a new author. I have been interested all of my life in fantasy and sci-fi stories, and always wanted to - one day - write my own books, but until recently I did not feel as though I was ready.

Then, in 2023, something tragic happened, and I got thinking a lot about life, the universe and everything, and a story idea came to me. The idea bounced around in my head for a while, at first it was just Deor and her backstory, but it began to develop. 

Then, in late 2024, I began discussing it with one of my daughters, an avid reader. She assured me it did not "sound too weird", and together she and I began developing the story. Her help was amazing, her creative vision helped bring it to life, and so I began writing. 

A couple of months later, and a draft was complete. 88,000 words. ​I reworked things, I got editorial help, reworked more things, and eventually - here we are. Deor, Sammu, and everyone else were created. 

Their story is now being told.
